Rocket Page Rank: SEO for WordPress

Rocket Page Rank: SEO for WordPress:

The following is a simple formula I have used on several WordPress sites that I own to get #1 or first page rankings within a month or two of creating the site:

  1. Update the content on the WordPress blog consistently
  2. Make the content better than most of your competitors (if you have any in your niche)
  3. Use images and optimize your images so that your blog is visually appealing
  4. Make your home page layout very simple but useful to your audience
  5. Use a variety of content on the blog (articles, videos, images, pdf presentations, etc)
  6. Keyword research is very important I should have put this up top, but make sure you have done your keyword research well and found the correct keywords that will attract you good traffic
  7. Create a YouTube channel and create 10 or less videos, which of course link to your WordPress blog site (if you don’t know how to create videos or don’t have to the time visit www.Fiverr.com and get someone on there to do it for you for cheap)
  8. Setup a Twitter account for your WordPress Blog and tweet good content periodically (try to use twitter 15 minutes per day follow influential people in your niche) give back to the community
  9. I would say create a Facebook Fan Page but Twitter and YouTube provide much faster methods of promotion in my opinion than Facebook Fan Pages – plus there are a lot of technical issues to deal with since Facebook likes to update their platform almost everyday LOL. If your website takes off and gets hot then build a Fan Page for it otherwise I wouldn’t bother

I’ve done this for several WordPress sites without even beginning an active link building campaign, just having the killer content, a good site which is actually valuable to your audience will put you over the top. Many website owners think nothing except the money and often people can see it a mile away, sometimes I don’t even bother people any ads on the site for the first couple months, I don’t want ads getting in the way of people getting the information. Google is not happy to see your website with loads of ads and haven’t even proven yourself or provided any value to the web yet.

Also I would say don’t buy ANY seo tools in the beginning. Make the site solid, think long term, there are more than enough websites cluttering the web offering no value.
