How to Get the Biggest Boost from Sharing Content [INFOGRAPHIC]

How to Get the Biggest Boost from Sharing Content [INFOGRAPHIC]:from The Content Strategist
Creating content for an audience is just the first step in content marketing. The second step is to promote, and one of the best ways to go about this is via social media.
A new infographic by DK New Media explains what it takes to make content shareable on different social media sites. For example, the ideal shareable length for B2C content on Twitter is 1-5 words, while it’s 21-25 words long on LinkedIn. Using a question mark in status updates on both sites can prove to be fatal: In terms of B2C marketing, messages received 45 percent less clicks if they include a question mark on LinkedIn, and on Twitter, that number is 52 percent.
While exclamation points are helpful on LinkedIn, on Twitter they also result in less clicks. Hashtags on Twitter, it seems, are key for B2B marketing: Statuses are shared 193 percent more if they have one.
The infographic also reveals when it’s best to share content: On Twitter it’s from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. and noon - 2 p.m., on Facebook it’s around 11 a.m.- noon and from 3 p.m.-  5 p.m., and on LinkedIn it’s between 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and noon - 1 p.m.
According to this infographic, links on Twitter should be placed 25 percent of the way through on the status, that tweets with more verbs and fewer nouns do well, and that more tweets are click on during the weekends and later in the day.
Aside from the form, the words contained in the status updates should be conversational, intriguing, and include calls to action, writes Dynamic Business’ Denise Mooney.
